1 (48 oz.) can tomato juice
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon pepper
1 cup chopped onion
2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 lb. ground beef
Cover beans with cool water and soak overnight. Cook on stove in boiling water, if not completely tender. Add tomato products and seasonings. Brown beef and onion in heavy skillet with a little salt and pepper. Drain fat from beef and add beef to beans. Place in crock-pot for 4-6 hours or simmer on stove for 1+ hour.
